Executive Training in Behavioral Leadership

Confident Leader – Science-Based Leadership Training in Behavioral Leadership

As a senior manager in the construction industry, you bear significant responsibility for both safety and efficiency in your operations. Achieving measurable results regarding accidents, near misses, and sick leave requires more than traditional, reactive methods. Our training offers a scientific approach that helps you promote safe behaviors before accidents occur, shifting your focus from managing risks to preventing them—with an emphasis on behavior.

The training program is based on Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) and Organizational Behavior Management (OBM), both of which are scientifically proven methods for strengthening safety culture. We have developed the program based on research conducted by the Behavior Design Group in collaboration with the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology.

About Our Program

During the training, you will learn to identify, describe, and increase the frequency of safe behaviors in high-risk situations—regardless of your position within the organization. You will gain insights into which leadership behaviors have the greatest impact on safety, how management’s actions shape the safety culture, and what organizational conditions are needed to create a sustainable and safe workplace.

The course covers topics such as:

  • How Behavior and Safety Culture Interact
  • The Role of Leadership in Shaping a Safety Culture and Promoting Desirable Behaviors
  • How structures, monitoring, and key performance indicators influence and drive safety culture forward

Spend a day on this, and you’ll deepen your understanding of how to influence human behavior and develop a concrete plan for driving behavioral change that moves your safety culture in the right direction.

Target audience

This training program is designed for senior managers and leaders in the construction and civil engineering industry, but it can also be customized to meet the needs of individual organizations or companies that wish to conduct the training internally.
