Safety Culture: Give Positive Feedback
✨Ohlala!✨ That’s the sound you hear when our CEO,Erik Matton of , asks the question: How does it feel to receive positive feedback? In this video, Erik explains some of the cornerstones of building a stronger safety culture. The video was produced in collaboration with Prevent.
Changing a safety culture may seem complicated. But if you focus on what has the greatest impact, any organization can make huge strides. Behavior-based safety is a structured scientific method that helps organizations shift from reactive to proactive management of safety culture.
To get started and give it a try, here’s what you can do:
1. Identify a work task where you face recurring risks.
2. Specify a few safe behaviors that you must perform 100% of the time to ensure an accident never occurs.
3. Remove obstacles and create favorable conditions for these safe behaviors.
4. REINFORCE these safe behaviors as often and as much as you can through positive feedback. Check out what Erik does in the video for inspiration! 🚀
Thank you , Prevent – Arbetsmiljö i samverkan, for the trust in assisting with the invaluable dissemination of knowledge regarding safety culture and Behavior-Based Safety!
